Congratulations to Nick Thorpe who rode in the Tour of Scottsdale Criterium on Saturday in two events. He got a strong second place in the 15-18 Junior field which had 15 competitors. While he once again was able to win the field sprint, a solo rider managed to break away just before the finish. Another great result for Nick who is leading the Copper Cup Championship for 2010 and this finish will certainly help him to keep that position. Nick went on to ride the Men's Cat 4 event (Congrats Nick on your upgrade) and finished in the upper third of the group. In spite of having taken his rest period for the last few weeks, Nick managed to score well this weekend!
Sam Gross managed to save himself from a near crash on the final corner but it took him out of contention in the race.
