Three of our juniors decided to tackle the hilly time trial...Scott Ford, Don Henley and Nick Thorpe. The promoters lumped all of the junior age groups together and Nick Thorpe got a well deserved third place, Don Henley got sixth and Scott Ford got 8th in spite of chain problems. Strada was represented by Paul Broaderip and Nick Thorpe and both had flats! In Nick's case, he shredded his tire and had to walk back four miles with no chance to rejoin the race. Paul had a huge adventure as he somehow got pushed back to last on the start (in a field of 35 riders). He fought his way around everyone and while leading got a flat. He kept refilling his tire a total of four times and still managed to hold on to fifth place. Amazing job, Paul! Read More...

The first crit of the season is over and Strada had a great day....and a lot of fun! It may have been cold at the early morning start but the clear skies were a welcome relief to the stormy weather we had this last week. Strada riders were competing in two different events this Sunday as the racing season begins. Congratulations to Paul Broaderip for his second place in the Cat 2 men's mountain bike race,The MBAA McDowell Mountain Race.
