Nothing quite like the first crit of the season: everyone is a little rusty but full of excitement and pent-up energy for the new season. Add to that record size fields and it was an exciting day of racing. Yes, imagine two groups of Cat 5's since the max was set at 50 riders in each event. Think about how tough the Cat 4/5 race was with 75 riders on a tight course with corners!
