Eric closed out his triathlon season with his longest triathlon to date, racing to a 10th place overall against a strong adult field from California, Arizona and several other states. The race started and finished at the Blue Water Casino in Parker AZ, where they swam 1K in the Colorado River, then biked 53K south through Parker, across the river and up to the Parker dam on the California side, then south on hilly 95 back to the Casino, where they finished with an 8k hilly run. Eric fought severe leg cramps in the run but managed to hold it together for a strong finish, getting out-touched by 0.3 seconds for 9th place overall of 160+competitors. He finished in 2:19:22, beating his closest 19 year old age group competitor by over 20 minutes.
