Fresh off a slew of gold medals at the State Track Championships, Eric Yatko blew away the entire field to win the event overall! Yes, not only did he win his age group, he beat everyone of the over 200 adult competitors. Another amazing performance by Eric...he just keeps getting faster. By the way, he drove home that night and then drove back up here to work with Drew Albert, Nick Thorpe and Sean Biever as they practiced for the upcoming State Championship Team Time Trial.
Tracy Phillips managed to get some training in after spending all of his time at the State Tracks by providing tech support for everyone and won his age group, the Clydesdale category and finished 11th overall. I spoke to Eric today who said Tracy actually got a higher place but that was the always modest Tracy reported to me. Great job, Tracy. How many flats did you fix for people during the event?
John Mercer got a third place in his age group and Alex Mercer got 2nd in his 13-14 age group. Eric Yatko's sister's husband, Brian, was visiting here and competed to earn a 12th place. Great results by all!
