The State Team Time Trial Championships were held today at Picacho Peak. Once again, our junior team (Drew Albert, Eric Yatko, Nick Thorpe and Sean Biever) won the gold medal and improved on the time of our junior team last year by well over one minute. And, all four of the team members finished together with an average speed of over 25 miles per hour.

Paula DeFreitas and her friend, Steve Farner, rode a tandem to another gold medal performance but they really had to fight for this one as the second place team was well ahead of them at the turnaround....they rallied on the final leg and continued their winning streak.

Our team entry in the Senior Men's category (Jeff Biever, Mike Yanish, Chris Colson and Scott Cocuzza) rode very hard and scored a 6th place finish in their age category. As a result of the efforts of Team Captain, Jeff Biever, and the hard work of each individual rider, they learned how to ride at full effort in a tight paceline...and had a lot of fun.
