Daniel Eaton and Nick Thorpe travelled to Flagstaff to compete in the Single Track Omnium- a multistage event that included an uphill climb, an out-and-back road race known for the downhill run from the start and the uphill run to the finish and a flat circuit race. Both of our juniors decided to race in the Senior Men's events because of the more competitive fields. Nick rode in the Cat 5 men's race and scored two great fourth place finishes. The cat 4 men and cat 5 men's fields were combined so for Nick to finish in fourth among the Cat 5's shows his strength continues to grow...even in the hills. Daniel got a flat tire in the circuit race which resulted in a dnf. Not content to come home with that as his only result, he really dropped the hammer on the cat 4's in the hilly race and dropped all of them to solo to another victory.....with several minutes in hand! Congrats to both Nick and Daniel.
