Today was a special Strada day that included our annual spring party at Greasewood Flat. Great fun except no one could believe the temperature at Greasewood....windy and cold......they had the fires lit to keep everyone warm! Congratulations to  Madi Cocuzza, Michael LaNue and Nick Thorpe who were awarded at the event their Varsity Cycling from Notre Dame Preparatory High School. The requirements this year were substantially tougher than previous years and all three earned the recognition by exceptional dedication and hard work.
We also used the opportunity to thank Tracy Phillips for his never-ending assistance to members of the club...he is single-handedly responsible for spec'ing and building the 24" wheel track bikes, and hours of tech support for our riders.

And...
As a snack during our cycling break this morning, we unveiled the peaches Mark Schnepf donated to Strada Racing...they were a BIG HIT. 
There were comments like, the BEST peach I have ever had! After the first bite, everyone stopped talking and just stared at the peach in their hand, and then said "wow, its been a long time since I've had a peach this good!"
